Fear, double 23s, and little flock are the three signal points of my revelatory downloads during the morning hours of 03/23/23. Repetitive numbers in the spiritual realm can carry double significance.
A Timely Prophetic Dream.
In my short, timely prophetic dream, I was sitting in a booth inside a small restaurant across from a man named Ricky. There were four of us in the booth at the time.
Suddenly, my attention was drawn to Ricky’s neck as he didn’t seem to be moving his head at all nor was he talking.
I asked him if he could move his neck, and he said, “No.”
I knew by revelation that his neck was paralyzed from fear.
End of dream.
Initially, I didn’t place much priority upon this brief dream; however, while working in my office later that morning, I heard in the Spirit,
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32)
Triple Emphasis of Fear.
#1. In Luke 12:32 when Jesus addressed His little flock, i.e., His disciples, He encouraged them by saying, “Do not fear.”
In this verse, the Greek word for fear, Strong’s G5399 is phobeo which is pronounced fob-eh’-o.
The various meanings are as follows:
“I. to put to flight by terrifying (to scare away)
- To put to flight, to flee
- To fear, be afraid
- To be struck with fear, to be seized with alarm
- Of those startled by strange sights or occurrences
- Of those struck with amazement
- To fear, be afraid of one
- To fear (i.e. hesitate) to do something (for fear of harm)
- To reverence, venerate, to treat with deference or reverential obedience.”1 (Emphases mine).
In our English language, the word phobia is derived from the Greek word phobeo.
#2. Breaking down the meaning of Ricky’s name:
“Literal Meaning: Powerful Ruler
Suggested Character Quality: Brave
Suggested Lifetime Scripture Verse: 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”2 (Emphasis mine).
#3. Continuing with my prophetic dream, I knew by revelation that Ricky’s neck was paralyzed from fear.
Prophetic Symbolism In This Dream.
As with most numbers, 23 has negative and positive aspects to it. The dreaded negative one is death, but the positive one is dwelling in the presence of God.
I was sitting in a restaurant that symbolizes fellowship (especially with God), communion, God’s provision, alignment with someone, relationships, union with Jesus Christ, and feeding on His word, trust, and rest.
The prophetic symbols for the neck are decision-making, a person’s will, strength, support, being yoked to someone or something, subjection, and victory.
True Treasures & Other Treasuries.
In the 12th chapter of the gospel of Luke, Jesus continued to instruct His disciples regarding true treasures.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Luke 12:32-34)
This has been a wild week in real life as many are reeling from the actions of other treasuries and related treasury departments which are shaking our country.
I deem this is why Holy Spirit reminded me of these all-important and timely verses from Luke’s gospel.
Prophetic Insights For Daily Living.
#1. How does this prophetic dream speak to you?
#2. In Luke 12:32-24, Jesus said it was the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. What does this assurance mean to you and your family?
#3. Is your will (as symbolized by the neck in the dream) fully submitted to God?
We have free will when making our decisions. We can choose to operate in fear or faith. In addition, we can choose Jesus and eternal life or deny Jesus with dire consequences.
Ricky’s neck was paralyzed due to fear. While this might not seem possible in the natural realm, God can and does speak in significant and mysterious ways in dreams.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.” (Proverbs 25:2)
Part of the joy of being a student of God’s word is to continue to search out spiritual matters and record revelations in our prophetic journals as He downloads them to us.
#4. There are positive and negative aspects to fear itself. The most important one is to continue to have a healthy and reverential fear of God.
When we dwell in the presence of God, we can fully trust Him and not be paralyzed with fear or allow the spirit of fear to continue to harass and debilitate us.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31)
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him (God) because He first loved us.” (1 John 4:18-19)
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
Ricky’s name means brave. We must be brave during uncertain times knowing full well that God is in control and that Jesus is still king and always will be.
What are some additional steps that you can take, if necessary, to remain brave and steadfast?
#5. Suffice it to say, while we cannot control the actions and overarching decisions of general treasury department authorities, we definitely have control over our giving to kingdom work and trustworthy causes.
As we continue to lay up for ourselves treasures in heaven, they will be there for us to examine and celebrate when we arrive. The entire global financial system will never influence them.
Take some quality time to examine your heavenly treasures. Write them down for self-reflection and encouragement.
Eternity is a very long time that we cannot even attempt to grasp with our finite minds.
If we cave into fear or continue to walk in it, there may be a tendency to not give to kingdom work and trustworthy causes, so we’re not laying up for ourselves treasures in heaven.
We can’t take our earthly possessions to heaven with us.
Our kingdom work and giving while we’re residing on earth is what is being deposited into our eternal account. (Philippians 4:17)
#6. Most importantly, are you part of the little flock (Luke 12:32)? Is Jesus your Shepherd? If not, take a trip down the Roman Road to Salvation as stated in Romans 10:9-10,
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
We have no fear of death if Jesus is our Lord because our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
In the year 2023, the Lord must be our Shepherd. I would encourage you to spend time daily feeding upon Psalm 23, so each word of it can be deposited deeply into your body, soul, mind, and spirit.
May all of us take comfort from our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who stated, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
